Public Service Administration, BS

Public Service Administration students are immersed in the social sciences to prepare for careers in government agencies and the quickly growing not-for-profit sector. A key part of our curriculum is a unique semester-long supervised practicum. Graduates work in research and administrative positions involving the prevention, processing, and solution of social and economic problems.

Public Service Administration – Community Economic Development Track, BS

Bring small towns back to life. This track is ideal for those interested in a changing economy and the need for trained people to knowledgeably deal with economic strategies and economic development. Students will be introduced to the global economy since there is a need for competition among state and regional firms within the international arena.

Public Service Administration – Construction Administration Track, BS

Be the hammer, not the nail. The Construction Administration track combines technical and administrative skills for those seeking rewarding careers in managing construction projects. As a program requirement, students participate in a unique semester-long practicum internship.

Public Service Administration – Criminal Justice Track, BS

Be a crime fighter. This track provides career training and practicum internship experience in Criminal Justice Administration and the changing regional economy for students desiring research and administrative positions in both state and federal settings. The student will become familiar with sociology, economics, business, criminal justice, and various applied disciplines.

Public Service Administration – Law & Legal Services Administration, BS

Understand the law to help others. The Law and Legal Services Administration track provides career training and practicum internship work experience in the law, legal systems, and legal services. The program is intended for students who plan to attend law school or seek positions in legal services offices. Students will obtain a strong background in law, economics, political science, sociology, and administration.

Public Service Administration – Nonprofit Administration Track, BS

Be in the business of serving others. This track focuses on public and private nonprofit organizations and recognizes that many agencies require personnel with administrative skills combined with a strong background in the social sciences and management for research, social service and administrative positions.
