Aviation Management

WVU Tech and FlightSafety Academy have partnered to establish the Bachelor of Science Aviation Management (BSAM). It’s a program for pilots who know that a great career in aviation takes skill in the cockpit and in the conference room.

Purpose-built for the modern pilot, the BSAM program combines FlightSafety Academy’s world-renowned flight training with WVU Tech’s comprehensive aviation and business management curriculum. The program allows pilots to enter a career in the aviation industry with world-class flight training and a four-year degree in hand.

How does the program work?

Students will complete their WVU Tech coursework online, where they’ll take core education classes and courses in aviation, business, marketing and communications. Students will complete their flight training at FlightSafety Academy’s campus in Vero Beach, Florida.

In addition to first-rate flight training, program students will have the opportunity to build 1500 hours of flight experience by the completion of their baccalaureate degree – that’s over 1200 hours more than most collegiate flight training programs.
